Meet your Doula

Hi, I’m Cheyenne!

My friends call me Chey, my best friend calls me mama…

I live in Baden with my fiancé and my beautiful baby boy, I am a Pittsburgh girl born and raise, a bit crunchy- I always wanted the more natural route for myself whether it was solving a sore throat with a hot cup of tea, or looking into The Midwife Center when I became pregnant. I became a boy mom in 2021 and everything changed for me. With the support of a doula, I discovered first hand how pivotal birth can be, it truly impacted every aspect of my life, from the relationship I have with myself- to the relationship I have with my body, my son, and my partner.

I became obsessed with all things birth and pregnancy while pregnant, and delivery just re-affirmed this passion. I am truly here to make a difference, and I believe everyone deserves a beautiful and empowering birth, no matter what turn it may take.

I am currently serving Pittsburgh families and families to be within a 45 minute range of Baden, PA.

Hospitals I serve: UPMC Magee, West Penn, AHN Wexford, Jefferson, Beaver Hospital

Other Places I serve: Home birth & The Midwife Center

“When deciding to have a doula for my second pregnancy, I was extremely hesitant as my last doula experience left much to be desired, but having Cheyenne as my doula this pregnancy was one of the best decisions I made! During my pregnancy, Cheyenne and I spoke often - she would reach out to check on me, ask about my prenatal appointments, answer questions I had, share wisdom on decisions we had to make, and helped me walk through the unresolved trauma I experienced during my first birth. Cheyenne always brought so much peace, compassion, and a genuine concern to each and every conversation we had. I felt like I was talking to someone I had known my whole life, though I still hadn’t met her in person at this point. I actually met Cheyenne in person when she walked into my hospital room. I had been communicating with her throughout the day of laboring then going into triage and finally landing on the decision to veer from our planned VBAC and have a repeat c-section. She was reassuring of the decision and reminded me that just because I wasn’t getting the VBAC I had hoped for that this birth could still be beautiful. When she arrived at the hospital that same peace, compassion, and genuine concern shown through. After we updated her, we spoke about the desires I had to make this c-section the best possible experience, an experience that would bring healing from the past trauma I faced. She spoke up on our behalf when needed, she really put such an effort into making sure we got everything, within reason, that we desired for my c-section. In the OR, Cheyenne shared in our excitement to welcome our baby boy into the world and was very encouraging through it all - I remember hearing her sweet words when my eyes were closed at times and just feeling comforted that she was there. Once in the postpartum phase of my journey, Cheyenne continued to reach out, offering anything she could to help through our transition from one to two and all the ups and downs of having a new baby. The postpartum period can be really tough and Cheyenne made sure to be available when needed. She’s answered many questions, talked me through some difficult moments, and has truly just become a life long friend that I know I can count on to love and support me through anything. You have a doula for a season, but Cheyenne has become much more than that for me, she’s become an amazing friend - her heart is one of a kind, it overflows with love for the mommas she’s serving, she brings a gentleness into even the toughest situations, she has such a peace about her that can calm a whole OR, and I’m truly blessed to know her and cannot imagine doing this birth without her.”

Cheyenne was our doula for the birth of our baby boy, who was due and delivered at the end of April. My birth experience/story was better than I could have ever imagined, and my boyfriend and I both agreed it was because we had Cheyenne with us through the whole thing. She is so well educated and was able to answer any questions we had and also helped us make decisions that the doctors and nurses were having us make to move the birthing process along. I felt so at ease knowing I had someone there who knew the terminology and what to question, and also knew what my birth plan was and could keep me on track of it. I can not express how helpful she was while I was in labor, too. She knew what to do to minimize the pain during a contraction and also got me whatever I needed whenever I needed. I felt so grateful to be taken care of like that in such a sweet, memorable time. She also made my delivery room so comfy and cozy, even the nurses commented on how zen it felt! And one of my absolute favorite parts about having Cheyenne as my doula, was the photos she got of my labor and delivery. I will forever cherish these photos and can’t express enough how grateful I am for her services and kind heart during such a special time in our lives! 5 stars! 10/10! Thank you Cheyenne!

Where do I even begin… I was given Cheyenne’s information from a previous client that was good friends with my sister in law. Little did I know that I would gain such an amazing friend after my pregnancy. Hiring Cheyenne was the best decision I ever made and the best investment I made during my pregnancy. She was always there to support me and help me stay informed about anything and everything related to my pregnancy. I truly wanted my redemption birth (VBAC) after having an unnecessary C-section with my daughter but God had other plans. My son flipped breech at 39 weeks and after trying everything possible (naturally) he just did not want to flip back. I went into spontaneous labor and opted for a C-section. Cheyenne helped me stay calm and gave me the extra strength I needed to get through each contraction until they were ready for me in the OR. Having her there alongside my husband made me feel so at ease and comfortable. She even had her bomb playlist and a speaker ready to go for me to feel even more relaxed. I just can never say enough about this wonderful human being. Being a doula is truly your calling and all of your future clients are truly blessed and in the best hands. Thank you will never be enough!! "Doulas remind us that birth is not only about making babies.
It's about making mothers strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and believe in their inner strength."
